Associates.
The Partners represent a group with extensive entrepreneurial and investment banking experience. They understand the demands of investment banking projects, and have Partners Jon Drabenstott, Partner Brian Stark, Partner Larry Wilson, Partner Professional Associates David Bogle, Of Counsel Joseph Preston, Professional Associate Partners Jon Drabenstott, Partner. Mr. Drabenstott has worked in the entrepreneurial world for much of his career. He has led two ambitious ventures and worked extensively with many early stage companies. He has consulted with local, regional and international companies in a wide range of industries. He has broad experience in all aspects of building a business including strategic planning, team building, business plans, financial models, fundraising, marketing and strategic partner relationships. He has an M.B.A. from The University of Michigan and a B.A. from Miami University.
Brian Stark, Partner. Mr. Stark has a broad background in financial management, investment analysis and strategic planning. He had a long, successful career with Ford Motor Co. for more than 25 years. He held many finance roles including Director, Business Strategy; Finance Manager, Ford Tractor Operations and other management positions in operations and Corporate Finance. At Ford, he was involved in the sale of corporate divisions and worked closely with Wall Street investment bankers. Mr. Stark also has experience as a CFO with early stage companies. Mr. Stark has also worked at management consulting companies, including J. D. Power and J. L. Boyle International; he has a record of accomplishment with a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Stark has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
Professional Associates David M. Bogle, Of Counsel. Mr. Bogle has had an extensive business career. He has held executive positions with Exxon/Mobil Corporation, Ford Motor Company and Burroughs Corporation. In addition, Mr. Bogle established a commercial division for an aircraft manufacturer, designed, built and managed a 60 person metals reclamation plant, headed a worldwide 2,500 person fabrication group, created and launched a new product for an insurance company, In addition, Mr. Bogle has considerable experience with emerging and mid-size companies. He has been an owner and CEO of a toy business in California and President of a plastics company in Detroit, which he reorganized and sold. He has also consulted with many startups and early stage companies, and prepared many business plans. Mr. Bogle holds a B.A. from Kenyon College, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering, both from The University of Michigan.
Joseph Preston, Professional Associate. Mr. Preston has had a long successful career in product planning, brand management, sales and marketing. Mr. Preston was the founder and CEO of AmeriShop Corporation, a national direct marketing/merchandising company with over 350,000 brand name products supplied by 500 Manufacturers and Distributors. Mr. Preston also developed one of the first online shopping sites, AmeriShop.com. As Vice President, Sales & Marketing, RL Corporation, Mr. Preston managed 80 Independent Sales Representatives nationally, calling on key accounts, including Wal-Mart, Kmart, Sears and Ace Hardware. As Senior Manager of International Marketing at Amway, he set up and managed the company’s entire Asian sales and marketing operations. Mr. Preston has MBA and BS degrees from Michigan State University.
